ABOUT ELLEN THOMPSON
Ellen Thompson is Victoria Thompson’s daughter, and she is carrying on her mother’s legacy by co-writing City of Promises with her. Ellen is an award-winning screenwriter and producer and an award-nominated musical playwright. City of Promises is her first novel.
Ellen wrote the lyrics for and produced an award-winning comedic music video, “Pay Attention (for Lyme Disease Prevention),” and she wrote the book and lyrics for and produced Lyme Disease The Musical at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2022. The production was nominated for five Broadway World Los Angeles Awards, and was runner-up for Best New Play or Musical.
Ellen earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from New York University Tisch School of the Arts, and she was an actor for nearly thirty years. She lives in Los Angeles, CA with her husband and their pets, and she advocates for Lyme and other tick-borne disease awareness. Visit her at ellen-thompson.com.
